Turkic World Civil Society Support System Introduced

“Turkic World Civil Society Support System” (TÜDSES), launched under the coordination of the AK Party Headquarters for Relations with Turkic States and in cooperation with the Ahmet Yesevi Cooperation and Development Association (AY-DER) and the Roots to the Future Culture and Cooperation Association (KÖKDER), was introduced to the public during an organized program.
The program was attended by AK Party Deputy Chairman and Head of Relations with Turkic States Kürşad Zorlu, and President of Migration Management Muhammet Selami Yazıcı, along with numerous guests.
In his speech at the program, President of Migration Management Muhammet Selami Yazıcı emphasized that all of Türkiye's efforts in the field of migration are carried out with a holistic and strategic approach under the coordination of the Ministry of Interior, Presidency of Migration Management, and with the contributions of all relevant institutions.
Stating that the efforts are carried out uninterruptedly and resolutely on a 24/7 basis based on law, human rights, and national interests, without compromising on public order and security, President Yazıcı expressed that they approach the migration issue not solely from a security perspective, but as a multifaceted phenomenon with humanitarian, sociological, economic, and international dimensions.
Expressing that under the leadership of President of the Republic Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and with the support of Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi, they have implemented practices shown as examples to the world, President of Migration Management Muhammet Selami Yazıcı noted that migration management is carried out with an approach that prioritizes human dignity and does not compromise on public security, across the areas of integrated border management, regular migration, fight against irregular migration and human trafficking, international protection, temporary protection, voluntary return, and harmonization and communication.
"We Have a Migration Management Approach That Sets an Example to the World"
Expressing that they have a migration management approach that sets an example to the world—supporting the acquisition of qualified foreign human resources needed in our country’s priority areas such as tourism, health, education, trade, investment, and work, while facilitating and encouraging their legal stay in our country—President of Migration Management Yazıcı continued his speech as follows:
"In line with this, we continuously review our visa and residence policies in line with changing needs; we continue to develop them by updating with a dynamic, effective approach aligned with our country’s priorities. Our relations with the brotherly states that make up the Turkic World derive strength from our shared history, common culture, and deep-rooted civilizational heritage."
Stating that the strong emotional bond and mutual trust existing between the states are among the core elements guiding all the efforts they carry out, President of Migration Management Yazıcı expressed that they observe the concrete reflections of this common understanding in many fields, ranging from migration management to education, trade to investment, and cultural cooperation to human relations.
Emphasizing that they view the Turkic World not only as the heritage of a shared past but also as the strong guarantee of a common future, President of Migration Management Yazıcı stated, “With this understanding, we attach great importance to developing practices that will facilitate the lives of our brotherly communities in our country. Within this scope, we have implemented facilitated residence permit procedures for our brothers of Turkic origin. We have scheduled the residence permit appointment periods to be a maximum of three days. By ensuring that residence permits are issued at the maximum limit for applications that meet the required criteria, we have made the processes faster and more efficient.”
Expressing that they have established specialized regional offices for procedures concerning individuals of Turkic origin in order to carry out service delivery in a more effective, rapid, and accessible manner, President of Migration Management Yazıcı stated that they have thus ensured the conclusion of applications in a shorter period and enhanced the service quality.
Stating that they also closely monitor work permit processes, President of Migration Management Yazıcı said, “By conducting work permit processes in close coordination with our relevant ministry, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, we have supported practices that will facilitate the participation of our brothers of Turkic origin in working life.”
"We Evaluate the Situation of Our Kin Who Have Suffered Persecution and Exile with Special Sensitivity"
Noting that they show special sensitivity in the administrative procedures of certain Turkic-origin communities present in the country, President of Migration Management Muhammet Selami Yazıcı stated, “In addition to this, we show special sensitivity in the administrative procedures of some Turkic-origin communities in our country. Of course, we provide facilitation to all our brothers of Turkic origin with the same understanding.”
Drawing attention to historical and humanitarian responsibilities, President of Migration Management Yazıcı stated that they evaluate the situation of kinfolk who do not live under the roof of any state or who have suffered persecution and exile throughout history with special sensitivity, and that they always observe this responsibility in the efforts they carry out.
Noting that he particularly wished to express that the constructive role undertaken by non-governmental organizations is extremely valuable, President of Migration Management Yazıcı concluded his speech with the following words:
“I hope that the introduced project today will further strengthen the cooperation within the Turkic World, reinforce our emotional bonds, and provide significant contributions to our common goals.”
Scope and Objectives of the Project
Aiming to bring together non-governmental organizations from all across the Turkic World on a common digital platform, the TÜDSES Project aims to strengthen inter-institutional communication, support collaborative project development processes, and increase sustainable cooperation in the field of civil society.
Designed as a strategic civil society ecosystem that will strengthen the shared memory of the Turkic World in a digital environment, the system is targeted to contribute to increasing coordination among non-governmental organizations and conducting collaborative efforts more effectively.
