Migration Consultancy Vehicles of the Presidency of Migration Management Introduced in Ankara

The “Migration Consultancy Vehicles”, put into service by the Presidency of Migration Management to ensure that foreigners and international students can access public services from their current locations and to facilitate their administrative procedures, are being expanded.
The “Ankara Promotion Program of Migration Consultancy Vehicles”, organized by the Presidency of Migration Management of the Ministry of Interior, was held at the Ankara University Rectorate with the participation of Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi.
In addition to Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi, the program was attended by Deputy Minister of Interior Mehmet Cangir, Governor of Ankara Yakup Canbolat, President of Migration Management Muhammet Selami Yazıcı, Deputy President of Migration Management Murat Karakaya, General Director of Foreigners Özge Kaplan, General Director of Harmonization and Communication Ahmet Dalkıran, and Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar.
Speaking at the program, Minister Çiftçi reminded that Mobile Migration Vehicles have been transformed into Migration Consultancy Vehicles, and stated: "In our migration consultancy vehicles, international students can carry out their fingerprinting and address registration procedures—which they previously had to go to Provincial Directorates of Migration Management to complete—right from here. Our esteemed President of the Republic has set a target of 1 million international students for us. To achieve this goal and to carry out the procedures for our international students, who are also our guests in our country, faster, easier, and simpler, we have launched such an implementation. In the upcoming period, we plan to expand this practice across all our universities. Thus, we are bringing the service right to the doorstep of our international students, making their procedures easier and simpler.
“Our 42 Migration Consultancy Vehicles Are Serving in 10 Provinces”
Making statements regarding the provinces where the Migration Consultancy Vehicles serve and the year-end targets, Minister Çiftçi said: "Due to our country's transition from being both a transit and a target country to moving past that status, we have now transformed our mobile migration vehicles into migration consultancy vehicles. As of today, 42 migration consultancy vehicles are serving in 10 provinces. These provinces are Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Sakarya, Eskişehir, Konya, Antalya, Bursa, Karabük, and Kütahya. In the upcoming period, we plan to increase the number of these provinces to 40 and the number of our vehicles to 75 by the end of this year."
“We Can Also Provide Such Services to Vulnerable Groups”
Speaking regarding the scope of services provided by the Migration Consultancy Vehicles, Minister Çiftçi stated: "These vehicles do not only serve our students. They also provide services to foreign individuals who are ill, elderly, or disabled—to these disadvantaged segments I mentioned who cannot come to our Provincial Directorates of Migration Management. By going to their locations and visiting their homes, we are able to provide such services to these disadvantaged groups right in their own homes or where they are, without them needing to come to the migration management. I wish this service to be auspicious and beneficial for both our international students and our universities. Indeed, we are introducing a novel practice that perhaps does not exist in any other country and is not seen elsewhere."
