YIMER 157 Call Center within the structure of the Presidency of Migration Management of the Ministry of Interior continues to provide accurate, fast and reliable answers to all questions of foreigners in Türkiye, especially international students, in addition to being an emergency help and denunciation line. Established on 20 August 2015, the Foreigners Communication Center (YIMER) provides services in a total of 5 languages: Turkish, English, Arabic, Russian and Farsi. YIMER 157, which serves as an information line between 08:00-18:00 on weekdays, answers the questions of foreigners in Türkiye, within the scope of the legislation of the Presidency of Migration Management such as visa, residence permit, international protection and temporary protection.

YIMER 157 also provides services as an emergency help and denunciation line 7 days 24 hours. Those who call YIMER 157 can quickly reach the emergency help line by pressing 1. To date, YIMER 157 has received 20 million calls and rescued 15,552 people who reported human trafficking and migrant smuggling for emergency help.
 
 
International Students Can Access Accurate, Fast and Reliable Information Regarding Residence Permit Processes with One Button
 
YIMER 157 Call Center informs international students about residence permit processes accurately and quickly. Within the scope of the protocol signed between the Presidency of Migration Management and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) on 29 November 2023, a change was implemented in the YIMER 157 Interactive Voice Response system that will enable international students to connect directly to the foreigner representatives. Accordingly, international students who call YIMER 157 and press 2 can connect directly to the foreigner representatives. Thus, international students were prevented from experiencing grievances due to lack of information and were provided with quick access to accurate and reliable information.
 
International students who call YIMER 157 especially seek information on school enrollment processes, student residence permit application processes and results, graduation processes of students and obligations to notify.
