|2||Supporting Turkey's Efforts in Drafting New Legislation for Migration Management||BILATERAL COOPERATION - MATRA||2012-2014||
Effective and sustainable migration management efforts were supported in line with the Law on Foreigners and International Protection. Moreover
national capacity for the implementation of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection was strengthened by finalizing the secondary legislation.
Also national capacity in order to combat against irregular migration and protection foreigners’ rights was enhanced
|3||Improving the National Public Health Care Standards in Migration Management||BILATERAL COOPERATION - IOM||2011-2014||The draft protocol between Ministry of Health and Directorate General of Migration Management regarding the actions and procedures related to the health standards of irregular migrants has been prepared, workshops for the personnel of Provincial Directorate of Health about the health risks by migrants and the measures for the personnel has been organized. Provided healthcares and checkups for regular/irregular migrants in EU countries and related implementations have been examined.|
|4||Supporting Organizational Structure of Directorate General of Migration Management||BILATERAL COOPERATION - UK||2013-2014||Establishment and institutional constructing of Directorate General of Migration Management has been supported by the project, as well as the preparation of legislation, forming of migration data management systems and the infrastructure works for international cooperation.|
|5||Support for the Development of an Action Plan to Implement Turkey’s Irregular Migration Strategy||BILATERAL COOPERATION - NORWAY AND UK||2012-2014||
Support to Turkey’s efforts in designing and implementing evidence based comprehensive policies for eliminating irregular migrationrelated challenges has been provided.
Furthermore, a comprehensive strategy in combat against irregular migration has been defined and a sustainable national action plan with a human rights perspective within a broader migration management framework based on this strategy has been created.
